Fireworks orders in 2025: customers spend more per order
Fireworks enthusiasts are ordering more from several shops in November 2025 than in the same period a year earlier. Many retailers surveyed report an increase in both the number of orders and the amount spent per order.
More orders at sixteen out of eighteen retailers
NOS Stories spoke to eighteen fireworks retailers. Sixteen say they are receiving more orders than at the same time in previous years. Shops interviewed by NH Nieuws and RTV Utrecht also report an increase.
This survey reflects the experiences of the shops interviewed. Its figures are not a complete count of the Dutch fireworks market.
Customers spend more per order
Almost all sixteen retailers receiving more orders also report higher order values. They mention increases ranging from 10 to 60 per cent.
Bart Pronk of Stichting Vuurwerkdealers Nederlands Consumentenvuurwerk particularly recognises the larger orders. He says the number of orders nationally remains roughly unchanged, but customers buy more in each order.
Pronk estimates that increase at around 25 to 30 per cent. He cannot confirm exact national percentages.
